    We are cuddling!

It’s 4:50 am and Q and I are cuddling. Poor baby has a fever and runny nose. But atleast she’s still eating like a champ. I just got done feeding her and now all she wants to do is lay on top of me and snuggle.

Oh sweet Quinny Girl, you can have whatever you want! Momma is sorry you aren’t feeling so great! What a way to ring in your first birthday! You’ve been a 1 year old for about 45 minutes now and I’m so glad you woke me up to remind me of that fact! There is no one I’d rather be awake for, right now, than you! Love you tonsens and tonsens and tonsens and foreveralways My Q-ball!

    It’s hard to believe

It’s hard to believe that exactly 1 year ago this very minute, Kimble and I were at the hospital getting ready to have another sweet lil baby! Exactly a year ago, I was being hooked up to machines and playing the waiting game. At about 3:07am I felt I had to push! The nurse told me to wait and luckily I didn’t have to wait long. Dr. Glenn was in the room within 3 minutes and A beautiful little Quinn May Smith was born 2 minutes later! 3:12am was another monumental moment in my life that I will hold dear forever! They handed her to me and just the feel of her tiny warm body next to mine sent the most peaceful feeling over me, I could’ve stayed locked in that moment forever! So sweet, so beautiful, so fresh from heaven! I have to admit, I’ve been dreading her 1 year mark. This past year has just been filled with so much enjoyment of every little stage Quinny has had, that I’m reluctant to see her graduate from infant to toddler. She is just the sweetest lil thing! I’m sooooo grateful that she is my daughter! She is precious beyond any words I could ever articulate! It’s now 12:06 and I need to get to sleep because tomorrow is Q’s big day, there’s a birthday cake to be made and major celebrating to do! Pictures to come!

Quinn May Is 10 months old!

Here’s our freshly washed and squeaky clean 10 month old!  Fully on the move at this point, photo opportunities are becoming slim!  She’s a teaser!  Slyly grinning or giggling when she does something she knows Mama doesn’t like!;)  She likes to be independent and will crawl off and be playing by herself.  Whether it’s pulling books off of shelves, in the bathroom trying to pull the swiffer and broom out from behind the door or trying to climb into the bathtub, she is adventurous and busy!  She’s a happy and quiet observer!  She will be singing/cooing and the second Ace or Indee start talking she gets really quiet to listen!  We love our Q-Ball tonsens and tonsens and tonsens and foreveralways!!!

    Spring is in the air!

Now, I realize, that inevitably, we are going to get more snow.  Probably in April and even May!  But for now this March weather is glorious!  We have been spending more hours outside than inside and by the end of the day, I feel I have to hose my kids down before letting them go inside, get their jammies on and cozy up for the night!  And oh how peacefully we all sleep after days like these!  I LOVE IT!

Here is some fun stuff from the last month in pictures:

    Ya, she’s trouble.;)

While the guys were in Vegas at the conference tournament, Bri and I took our kiddos south to watch Jas race, soak up the warmth and relax.

Q at Cracker Barrel while we all stuffed our faces after the race.

The kids winding down and watching Hugo after a long and fun day.

Yesiree, she IS a shoe girl.

Trying to keep up with Brother and Sister.

Uncle Tafters took us to see John Carter, so we treated him to some homemade reese’s peanut butter cup ice cream!

    Acer’s Spring program.  Good times.:)

Indee wanted in on the action too.:)

Q helping Mama make ice cream.  She helped eat the chocolate cream cookies.

    Quinn May 9 Months Old!

Teensy isn’t so teensy anymore.:(  Baby girl started officially crawling a few days ago.  And she likes to pull herself up using chairs, push toys, Indee(who I might add wasn’t to thrilled to have her baby sis using her hair as leverage to try and pull herself up:)!  I snapped a few 9 month pics.  It wasn’t a “smiling” day for Quinn.  See, she has a bit of a cold.  Poor baby’s nose is RAW from Mama continuously wiping it!  She’s 28 1/4 inches tall, 17.6 lbs and still as squishy as ever!  She’s a very content baby, babbling here and there.  But when she gets mad, look out!  I think there’s a wee bit of a temper in this lil one!;)  Still no sign of teeth, which I’m just fine with considering I’m still nursing!  She is just precious beyond words to us!

    No toofers!

She loves crawling to the back door, sitting and looking outside.  Today especially because of the snow!:)

    See what I mean?

Helping Mama clean the floors.  She loves baby wipes!

She bonked her head trying to pull herself up!

Trying to keep her content with a nilla wafer while I take pictures.:)

This is the best she’s got today…I don’t blame her.  Just look at that chapped lil nose.;)

We love you tonsens and tonsens and tonsens and foreveralways Quinny Q!

    8 months old today…

    Hey Tiny Girl,

You sure know how to steal our hearts!  We are smitten, positively and truly!  You have a feisty side that likes to come out when you’ve been sitting in your car seat for too long! That feistiness comes with lots of arching the back, grunting and squealing!  Whenever your older brother or sister get close to you, your face lights up like the Fourth of July! You squeal and giggle with delight when they wrestle with you!  You started “army man” crawling almost 3 weeks ago!  You still prefer rolling to get to toys and/or something you want, but if something is 6 feet or less in front of you, you will focus with determination and “army man” crawl to it!  You started saying Daa Daa Daa a few weeks ago and although you don’t know what you’re saying yet, I know you soon will!  We love you tonsens and tonsens and tonsens and foreveralways Quinny Q!

“Mom!  Get this ridiculous hot pink pouf off my head!  It’s only clinging to a few priceless hairs anyway!”

    “You talkin ta me?”

“I love being 8 months old!”

“What to do…apple sauce or peas for dinner? …hmmmm…”

“Neener, I have you guys wrapped around my finger!”

“My big piggy tastes really good.  Can I taste yours next?”

“Okay, enough with the pictures.  I’m spent!”

“What?  Did you say beautiful gams?  Why thank you!”

    Reminiscing…

I’ve been reminiscing a lot lately!  It all started when I listened to a cd I haven’t heard in a long time!  This particular cd brought me back to being pregnant with Ace!  The anticipation, excitement and nerves! And then my thoughts rolled into bringing him home from the hospital, watching him giggle for the first time, sit for the first time, crawl for the first time, etc.  I’ve decided that reminiscing isn’t a bad thing as long as you remember to come back and just be in the here and now!  But my mind has a tendency to wander back to each of my babies as newborns, so tiny in the hospital and bringing them home!  The peace and quiet they brought with them!  The memories are just too tempting and sweet to not think about!  The problem is, sometimes I feel like I’m forgetting all the little details and feelings I had with each one of our kiddos!  It’s very unsettling to me!  I feel like I documented everything with Ace to a fault!  Then with Indee that documentation got a little less.  And now I find myself a bit hazy with the beginnings of Quinny and she’s only almost 8 months old!  Every once in a while I feel a deep rooted sense of urgency like I need to write down every little feeling I’ve had or something sweet I remember about my kids!  There just aren’t enough hours in the day dang it!  And honestly to be a good Mom and live in the here and now, I can’t be journaling about the past all day long!  I just feel like I have so much to catch up on!!  And unfortunately, I’m not one of those lucky people who can pause in the middle of writing a thought down and come back to it later!  My short term memory isn’t that good!:)  I just wish I could remember everything!  Is there a special “memory” pill I can take???

    Acey 2 months old

    Indee 7 weeks old

    Quinn 9 days old

I obviously need to get more organized with my pictures too!  My computer doesn’t have any of Ace as a newborn!
